HC Deb 17 December 1979 vol 976 c7W
Mr. Kilroy-Silk

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department why he is allowing prison officers at Pucklechurch remand centre to prevent Mr. R. Morgan, a member of the board of visitors, his legal right to free access to the prison at all times.

Mr. Whitelaw

I refer the hon. Member to the answer I gave him on 5 December.—[Vol. 975, c. 193–94.] Mr. Morgan is not being denied access to the remand centre. So long as the industrial action being taken by prison officers continues, other arrangements are being made to escort him when he visits the centre.
