HC Deb 17 December 1979 vol 976 c33W
5. Mr. Woolmer

asked the Secretary of State for Trade if he is satisfied that the present documentation of the country of origin for goods entering the United Kingdom from EEC countries provides an adequate basis for monitoring and controlling agreed levels of imports from countries with which the United Kingdom has negotiated bilateral agreements.

Mr. Parkinson

I have no evidence that the present arrangements are not adequate for the purposes the hon. Member refers to. If the hon. Member does have such evidence, perhaps he would let me have it, and I shall investigate the position as a matter of urgency.
