§ 21. Mr. Hal Millerasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what consideration he has given to the imposition of a quota on immigration from the Indian Sub-continent, as suggested by the Select Committee on Race Relations and Immigration.
§ Mr. RaisonTo be fully effective a quota system would require legislation. The Government have decided to give priority to changes in the immigration rules.
