§ Mr. RifkindThe information on prison officers' salaries is set out in the table below. Changes in the purchasing power of earnings depend on the income tax and social security payments of individuals according to their circumstances as well as movements in retail prices of goods and services. In addition, the retail price index includes housing and clothing costs for which prison officers have separate allowances.
