The reports of the Police Complaints Board 1 June-31 December 1977 and 1978 contain statistical information about the number of complaints referred to the Board for its consideration. The functions of the Board relate only to the disciplinary aspects of complaints against the police. Other information on the outcome of complaints, including criminal proceedings and convictions, is contained in the annual reports of Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Constabulary and the Commissioner of Police of the Mtropolis. The reports are available in the Library of the House.
