§ Mr. Lawson[pursuant to his reply,4 December 1979]: As stated in "The Government's Expenditure Plans 1980–81 (Cmnd 7746), the estimated net contribution to the European Communities, and to the European Investment Bank, net of public sector receipts, in 1980–81 under present arrangements is estimated at about £1,000 million. On present trends it will continue to increase in subsequent years.
