Mr. Greenway

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science when he expects to publish Her Majesty's inspectorate's report on the national survey of secondary schools; and if he will make a statement.

The report has been published today by Her Majesty's Stationery Office, price £6.75. Copies are available in the Vote Office and in the Library of the House.

I hope that the report will be carefully studied by all concerned, especially the local education authorities and the teaching profession. I believe that it has an important contribution to make to the further development of secondary education.
