§ Mr. Dalyellasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will specify the action he is taking, as a result of his meeting on Tuesday 27 November, with representatives of both trades unions and management of the Scottish knitwear industry, on the problems which have recently caused the loss of 1,000 jobs, out of 15,000 jobs in the industry.
§ Mr. YoungerAlong with other hon. Members, I listened to the views expressed by representatives of the Scottish knitwear industry. With my colleagues, I am prepared to consider any specific proposals addressed to the Government.
