asked Her Majesty's Government:

What collaborative weapon systems projects with NATO allies have been put into production since June 1977 for the Royal Navy, the Army and the RAF and to state for each whether they were of United Kingdom, foreign or joint United Kingdom/foreign origin.

Lord STRATHCONA and MOUNT ROYAL

The more important collaborative weapon systems which have been put into production since June 1977 include:

System Participating Countries
Sub-Harpoon UK/US joint development.
FH 70 155mm towed gun Federal Republic of Germany/Italy/UK joint development.
MILAN anti-tank missile UK/Federal Republic of missile Germany/France, Franco/German development.
TORNADO UK/Federal Republic of Germany/Italy, joint development.
Skyflash air-to-air missile UK/US, UK development of US design.

In addition, the United Kingdom is continuing to receive deliveries of collaborative weapons put into production prior to June 1977; notably, the Puma, Lynx and Gazelle helicopter package. It is also participating in a number of joint projects such as Sidewinder and the SP 70 gun which it is hoped will shortly enter the production phase.
