§ Sir Ian GilmourThe research council due to meet on 20 December 1979 will discuss a number of items concerned with Community research projects, including the 1980–83 programme of the joint research centre, the 1979–83 Community fusion programme and the 1980–84 radiation protection programme. On this occasion, and given the nature of the agenda, my hon. Friend the Under-Secretary of State for Energy will represent Her Majesty's Government.
The Community's research work as a whole is the responsibility of a number of Government Departments.
