§ Mr. Canavanasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer (1) what is the total amount of tax relief given to private fee-paying schools; and what is the breakdown of the total into schools in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland;
(2) whether he will give an estimate of the cost of giving tax relief to parents who send their children to fee-paying schools.
