Mr. Lee

asked the Secretary of State for Trade if he will place in the Library a summary of all the representations that have been made since March 1974 to the Common Market authorities in respect of Great Britain's adverse balance of trade with the rest of the Market, the replies that have been received and any measures taken abroad to stimulate Common Market exports to the United Kingdom.

I shall write to my hen. Friend as soon as possible and place copies of the letter in the Library for the information of hon. Members.

asked the Secretary of State for Trade if he will place in the Library a summary of all the representations that have been made since March 1974 both to the Common Market authorities and to the other individual member countries, regarding the need for those countries to increase imports from the United Kingdom in order to diminish the United Kingdom's adverse trade balance with the rest of the Market, of the replies he has received, and of the measures known to have been taken abroad to increase imports from the United Kingdom as a result of such representations.
