§ Mr. James Johnsonasked the Minister of Overseas Development what new proposals she is making to assist the training of middle and higher level administrative staff for an independent Zimbabwe.
§ Mrs. HartI am providing to the international university exchange fund an accountable grant of £50,000 as a contri-706W bution to its Zimbabwe manpower training programme, the aim of which is to train high level civil servants and administrators at institutions within Africa. I am also providing to the world university service an accountable grant not exceeding £20,000 in support of a public administration and management course at Ranche House college in Salisbury. In addition, I am making available language laboratory equipment for the college at a cost of £9,000 and other British equipment at a cost of £10,000 to help in the setting up of a women's centre.
