§ Mr. Merlyn ReesDiscussions between my Department and the National Union of Licensed Victuallers during the past 12 months have covered its proposals for amendment of the licensing law on a number of matters, including sale of liquor from supermarkets; upgrading of licences held by wine bars, extension of permitted hours, and other matters arising from the report of the Erroll committee on liquor licensing. I have taken careful note of its comments and suggestions.
