Mr. Michael Roberts

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will estimate general Government expenditure in 1979–80 at outturn prices.

I do not propose to publish an estimate at this time. I refer the hon. Member to table 7 of "The Government's Expenditure Plans 1979–80 to 1982–83" (Cmnd. 7439) for a projection at 1977–78 prices.
