Whether they are satisfied with the present procedures governing meetings of the European Council, what improvements they are seeking in accordance with their policy of increasing the flow of information about Community affairs to Parliament and the public as set out in the Prime Minister's letter of 30th September 1977 to the General Secretary

European Council procedures are currently being examined by the Three Wise Men appointed in December 1978. The Government will decide whether improvements are necessary after consideration of their report. The Government make available for scrutiny documents which are published for submission to the European Council. In other cases they provide Parliament with the fullest possible information.
