§ Mr. Spearingasked the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what action is necessary by Her Majesty's Government in order to comply with EEC directive 79/112 concerning the labelling of food; and in particular whether any distinction is required to be made between wrapped bread and that sold without wrappers.
§ Mr. StrangProposals for regulations to give effect to the EEC directive fall to be made later this year, and it is the intention that interested organisations should be consulted on all aspects of those proposals.
