§ Mr. Brothertonasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) what is the total number of men, women and children who have been allowed to enter the United Kingdom as dependents of holders of work permits who have been given permission to settle in the United Kingdom since 1970;
(2) how many men, women and children have been allowed to settle perman- 556W Wales authorised to possess firearms is not collected annually. The latest figures available are for 1974 when 185,865 firearm certificates and 766,952 shotgun certificates were held. The figures for the rest of the United Kingdom are matters for my right hon. Friends the Secretaries of State for Scotland and for Northern Ireland.
