§ Mr. Youngerasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if, pursuant to his answer of 26 July, Official Report, c. 747, 662W he will give the latest figure for the rates yield in Scotland, and the proportion coming from (a) domestic properties, (b) industrial premises, (c) commercial premises, and (d) other categories.
Mr. MilanThe latest estimate of the yield of rates in Scotland for 1978–79, excluding domestic water rate but including rates paid under formula by public utilities, is £658 million payable in the following shares:
Domestic 36.7 per cent. Industrial 12.5 per cent. Commercial 27.3 per cent. Miscellaneous (including public utilities) 23.5 per cent.
