Mr. Goodlad

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) what consultations his Department has held on the future of Tarporley War Memorial hospital;

(2) what plans his Department has made for the future of Tarporley War Memorial hospital;

(3) what consultations his Department has held on the future of Davenham hospital;

(4) what consultations his Department has held on the future of Northwich Victoria infirmary;

(5) what plans his Department has made for the future of Northwich Victoria infirmary; and if he will make a statement;

(6) what plans his Department has made for the future of Davenham hospital; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Moyle

Planning for the future use of health service buildings and facilities is a matter for the appropriate health authorities which have been asked to follow the advice issued by my Department on consultation with local interests.

Mr. Goodlad

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) what representations his Department has received on the future of Northwich Victoria infirmary;

(2) what representations his Department has received on the future of Davenham hospital.

The hon. Member wrote to me on 5 March enclosing a letter from a constituent and I shall reply as soon as possible. I have received no other representations on the future of Northwich Victoria infirmary or Davenham hospital in the past year.
