§ Mr. Youngerasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if, pursuant to his answer of 6 July 1978, Official Report, c. 275, he will give the total numbers estimated to be employed in fish processing and in herring processing in Scotland in 1978.
§ Mr. Hugh D. BrownThe number of full-time employees in fish processing in 1978 was estimated to be about 8,000. The number of employees in herring processing at various times of the year in 1978 was estimated to be over 1,000.
