§ 68. Sir David Rentonasked the Secretary of State for Social Services to what extent he is carrying out his duty under the National Health Service Act 1977, section 5, with regard to family planning services.
§ Mr. MoyleThe family planning services have grown continuously since the introduction of the free comprehensive service in 1974. I have no evidence of any unmet requirements, although I am by no means satisfied that the services are yet reaching all those in need. That is why the continuing development of these services, including information and publicity about them, remains one of my Department's priorities for the National Health Service.
