§ Mr. Youngerasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list (a) the number of non-industrial and (b) the number of industrial staff employed by the Scottish Office at 1 April.
Mr. MilanThe latest date for which figures are available is 1 March 1979. There were then 10,077 non-industrial staff and 894 industrial staff employed in the Scottish Office, including the prison service and the state hospital.
