§ Mr. Freudasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list in the Official Report the voluntary clubs in Cambridgeshire to which grants and interest-free loans were made over the last two years.
§ Mr. Denis HowellA total of 15 voluntary clubs in Cambridgeshire have received financial assistance from the Sports Council over the past two years. Grant totals amounted to £40,165, those of interest-free loans to £10,036. Those clubs to have benefited are:
- Girton golf club—part grant, part loan.
- Ely bowls club—part grant, part loan.
- Bassingbourne ski club—grant.
- Cambridge rowing club—grant.
- Eynesbury Rovers F.C.—grant.
- St. Neots table tennis club—grant.
- Newmarket sub-aqua club-grant.
- Cambridge University gliding club—part grant, part loan—this club is not restricted to University students.
- Peterborough motor club—loan.
- Peterborough rowing club—grant.
- Peterborough sports club—grant—a multi-sports centre.
