§ Mr. Younger
asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if, pursuant to his answer of 26 July 1978, Official Report, column 751, he will publish the latest figures for the proportion of rented and owner-occupied properties for each of the new towns.

At 31 December 1978 owner-occupied housing as a percentage of total housing in each new town was as follows:

East Kilbride 18.1 per cent.

Glenrothes 15.9 per cent.

Cumbernauld 22.4 per cent.

Livingston 9.1 per cent.

Irvine 21.3 per cent.
