Mr. Alan WilliamsUnder the Industry Act 1972 net expenditure included in Cmnd. 7439 for 1973–74 amounted to £591 million in 1978 survey prices and in 1977–78 the comparable sum was £444 million. Additionally, in 1977–78, under the Industry Act 1975, National Enterprise Board expenditure amounted to £368 million in money terms, giving a total of £812 million which is more than 33 per cent. above 1973–74.
