Mr. Mudd

asked the Secretary of State for Employment (1) how many workers in Cornwall, in an average week in 1978, both as a figure and as a percentage of the total work force, were in receipt of temporary employment subsidy; and to what extent this percentage is in excess of, or falls below, the average percentage for all other development areas;

(2) if he will indicate the numbers of placings under (a) work experience and (b) job creation projects in the county of Cornwall in 1978, both as a number and as a percentage of the actual work force, and indicate by what figure this percentage exceeds, or is lower than, the percentage for other development areas;

(3) what were the numbers of registered unemployed in the employment districts represented by the Falmouth and Camborne parliamentary division in February 1970, February 1974, and February 1979; and what percentage these figures represent as a proportion of the total working population.
