The Lord AdvocateThis varies from year to year. Currently, very approximately one-fifth of the work of the Scottish Law Commission is concerned with the giving of advice under section 3(1)(e) of the Law Commissions Act 1965 in response to requests from Government Departments and to requests for advice on international law.
The remainder of the Commission's work is undertaken in accordance with its Programme and the remaining duties imposed on it by section 3 of the Law Commissions Act 1965.
