HC Deb 24 October 1978 vol 955 c804W
Mr. Dalyell

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs why he is unable to recruit more staff to his Department to deal with passport applications by people in Great Britain of Eastern European origin.

Mr. Luard

Passport Office staff levels have been increased substantially and it can now be expected that applications from persons of any origin will be dealt with satisfactorily. If my hon. Friend will send me details of the cases which concern him my right hon. Friend will have them investigated.
