§ Mr. Warrenasked the Secretary of State for the Civil Service what would be the current cost of implementing the recommendations published by the 765W Priestley Commission in 1955, that unestablished service in the Civil Service, prior to 1949, should reckon in full for pension purposes.
§ Mr. Charles R. MorrisEarly in 1975, it was estimated that, if both past and future lump sum benefits were not adjusted and if the revision of pensions was introduced in stages, the total cost over a period of 25 years would be not far short of £300 million. I am having this estimate brought up to date and I will publish the revised figure in theOfficial Report as soon as possible.
