§ 3. Mr. Beithasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what plans he has to bring into effect the provisions of the Children Act relating to consent to adoption.
§ Mr. MoyleThe provisions of section 12 of the Children Act 1975, which relate to parental agreement to adoption, came into force on 26th November 1976. There are no plans at present to implement the "freeing for adoption" provisions in sections 14 to 16 of the Act, which will enable parents to give early final agreement to a child's adoption.
