§ Mr. Andrew MacKayasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he is satisfied with the level of private house building.
§ Mr. Armstrong:Private housing starts in the first nine months of this year are 14 per cent. up, and completions 7 per cent. up, on the same period last year. Since 1974 we have been working for, and have achieved, reasonable stability in production. My belief is that builders 323W should be able to plan with reasonable confidence for 1979.
