§ Mr. Bagierasked the Secretary of State for Transport what proposals he has received from the British Railways Board for extending its shipping services.
Mr. William Rodgcrs:The Board has informed me that it is negotiating to take a majority interest in the Manx Line service from Heysham to the Isle of Man. I welcome this new development by the Board of a partnership with the private sector, and am giving the Board the statutory consent it requires to the acquisition of the interest and the operation of the service.
