Mr. Ralph Howell

asked the Secretary of State for Employment what are the average earnings of car industry employees, agricultural workers and retail workers, respectively; and what would be the increase in gross income of each of those groups of wage increases of 5 per cent. and 17 per cent., respectively.

The following results of the New Earnings Survey relate to the average gross weekly earnings in April 1978 of full-time men aged 21 and over
