Mr. Hooley

asked the Secretary of State for Industry if he will report on his discussions in the Council of Ministers of the EEC on 21st November, concerning the disruption and damage caused to the Sheffield special steel industry by the dumping in the United Kingdom of the special steel from West German producers.

Mr. Les Huckfield:

My rignt non. Friend the Minister of State stressed the problems of our special steels industry at the Council and with Commissioner Davignon. We shall be pursuing this further with Commissioner Davignon, and if need be we shall bring up the issue again at the Council meeting in December.
