§ Mr. Roy Hughesasked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will convene aconference of representatives of the Gwent area health authority and the principal contractors, together with officers of his Department to try to expedite completion of the stage 5 development of the Royal Gwent hospital, Newport, Gwent.
§ Mr. Alec Jones:The Welsh health technical services organisation which is responsible for the management of the scheme has already arranged a meeting with the principal contractors at which the Welsh Office and the AHA will be represented. Everything possible is being done to expedite the completion of the work.
