HC Deb 27 November 1978 vol 959 c40W
Mr. Lee

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he is satisfied that adequate steps are being taken to prevent the use of British passports to facilitate the entry of their holders into Rhodesia, a Crown colony currently governed by an illegal regime; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Rowlands:

It is not the policy of Her Majesty's Government to restrict travel to Rhodesia. However, in accordance with the statement made in the House on 27th June 1968 by the then Commonwealth Secretary, restrictions are placed on British passport holders resident in Rhodesia who give active support to the regime.
