§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Wales what are the terms of reference of the review of the national parks in Wales; and what role will be played by the Welsh Office in formulating conclusions in relation to Wales.
§ Mr. Alec JonesMy right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Environment and my right hon. and learned Friend, in announcing their conclusions in 1976 on the report of the national park policies review committee accepted that there would be advantage in reviewing the administrative and staffing arrangements of the national parks in about five years' time. They have not yet decided what form such a review should take or when it should be conducted. The Welsh Office would participate fully in any such review and in the assessment of any proposals for change which might emerge from it.
