§ Mr. JohnI understand from the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis that from January to June 1978 the police in the Royal borough of Kingston upon Thames recorded 76 offences of "assault etc.". These offences cover nearly all indictable offences of violence against the person and certain sexual offences involving violence.
