§ 55. Mr. Ridleyasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether staff of Government communication headquarters, who work in the security division, are prohibited from being members of any political organisation.
§ Dr. OwenThe staff of the Government communication headquarters, including the security division, are not prohibited from membership of political 621W organisations. The staff are, however, subject to the criteria governing security procedures in the Public Service (Positive Vetting) and Civil Service Regulations about conduct in respect of political activities.
