The housing cost yardstick is reviewed each quarter and there have been 10 increases since October 1975. The effect of the first eight increases was consolidated in the increased allowances set out in circular 24/78 and given in the table. The two increases since then amount to 9 per cent.

§ Mr. HoramThree letters, and considerably more oral complaints, have been received about the inadequacy of the motorway signs. No letters have requested the removal of "Rochdale" from signs; that change is a consequence of the up-dating of the signs to meet the complaints received and to reflect the development of the motorway network since the present signs were installed.
