§ Mr. Sillarsasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will give examples of how EEC Regional and Social Funds have assisted specified projects in the Doon Valley, Cumnock area, Maybole area, and the district of Girvan.
§ Mr. Gregor MacKenzieA grant of £91,200 from the European Regional Development Fund was awarded to Cumnock and Doon Valley district council in 1977 for site servicing of three industrial estates at Auchinleck, Cumnock and Patna. Scotland as a whole receives benefit by way of grants from the European Social Fund for national schemes in aid of the disabled, young people, industrial training and similar activities: it is not possible to apportion these grants to particular areas.
