HC Deb 15 November 1978 vol 958 cc286-8W
Mr. Adley

asked the Secretary of State for Trade what developments have occurred during the parliamentary recess and since towards enabling British Airways to obtain traffic rights to land Concorde at Singapore by overflying Malaysian territorial waters; when he last met the Malaysian Government representatives; and what he intends to do to solve this dispute.

Mr. Clinton Davis

Earlier this year we provided the Malaysian Government with full technical and environmental data relating to the supersonic operation of Concorde over water. The new Malaysian Government have the matter under active consideration and our high commissioner has offered to provide all such further information or clarification as may be required. We hope that this constructive attitude will produce a favourable result.
