§ Mrs. Bainasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will publish in the Official Report an analysis of how the grant allocated to the Scottish Sports Council during the current financial year has, to the latest available date, been disbursed, with particular reference to the various governing bodies.
§ Mr. McElhoneThe council receives an annual grant-in-aid, and my right hon. Friend approves its annual estimates under broad heads of expenditure. My right hon. Friend does not seek to supervise the council's detailed expenditure, which is published in its annual report. I have therefore asked the council to write to the hon. Member giving the information requested.
