HC Deb 15 November 1978 vol 958 cc273-4W
29. Mr. Carmichael

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is now in a position to announce the date and the composition of the committee to undertake the public inquiry into the building deficiencies at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Yorkhill, Glasgow; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Harry Ewing

Following the reply to my hon. Friend on 15th February 1978, the Greater Glasgow health board is continuing to give priority to undertaking remedial works and to recovering their cost. One legal action relating to floor screeds is under way. Further more comprehensive proceedings will be initiated shortly. On the question of a public inquiry, I have nothing to add to the reply on 15th February.—[Vol. 944, c. 252.]
