§ Mr. Cyril Smithasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will add new industrial processes to the Town and Country Planning (Use Classes) Order; and if he will make a statement on the possibility of requiring the Health and Safety Executive to issue a certificate which must accompany all planning applications for notifiable installations, such certificates to state (a) that the proposal is notifiable and (b) what conditions are required to make the proposal acceptable to the Health and Safety Executive.
§ Mr. Guy BarnettThe Advisory Committee on Major Hazards is examining these questions and we await its recommendations in its second report.
