§ Mr. William Hamiltonasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will correct the statement made by the Minister of State, Department of Health and Social Security, during the debate on violence in marriage on 16th June last when he referred to the Domestic Violence and Matrimonial Proceedings Act in the context of Great Britain as a whole.
§ Mr. MoyleI am grateful to my hon. Friend for this opportunity to rectify a mistake that I made in a statement during the debate referred to. The Domestic Violence and Matrimonial Proceedings Act does not extend to Scotland; it applies only to England and Wales.
