§ Mr. CryerMy hon. Friend discussed the problem of Wharton Cranes with the Minister of State and representatives of the management and trade unions on 3rd November and subsequent discussions have been held involving the NEB. Before deciding what assistance can be offered to minimise the loss of jobs, the Department is awaiting the specific proposal being prepared by the company.
