§ Mr. Biffenasked the Secretary of State for Employment what instructions have been given to the inspectors of the Health and Safety Executive following the decision of the sheriff of Lothian and Borders, sitting at Haddington, on 18th July in the case of Robert William McConnachie v. Danckaerts Woodworking Machinery Limited.
§ Mr. John GrantIt is not proposed to issue instructions to inspectors of the Health and Safety Executive at the present time. The procurator fiscal is considering an appeal against the judgment of the sheriff of Lothian and Borders by way of case stated.
