§ Mr. EnnalsThe introduction of the simplified loan approval system will save eight departmental staff and enable others to be redeployed. The redeployed staff will be engaged on providing improved and extended guidance about building standards and costs, and advice, on request about particular schemes. This will enable the Department to offer a better service to local authorities to assist them in obtaining the best value they can for the money that they spend.
